Maulana Abdul Waris Urges Reform to Strengthen Government Schools in AssamKarimganj, Assam: Maulana Abdul Waris, President of the Malegarh Block Congress Committee, has urged the Assam Government to take bold steps to improve the quality of education in government schools.In a statement, he proposed encouraging the children of the Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, MPs, government officials, government teachers, and other public servants to study in government schools, or adopting policies that strengthen their direct engagement with the public education system. He argued that such measures would enhance accountability and lead to better infrastructure, improved teaching standards, and stronger monitoring.Citing the examples of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Japan, and Singapore, he said that strong public education systems are the foundation of national development.Maulana Abdul Waris emphasized that education is a fundamental right of every child and called on the Government to implement comprehensive reforms, fill teacher vacancies, modernize school infrastructure, and ensure quality education for all.He expressed confidence that a stronger government school system would help build a more educated, equitable, and prosperous Assam.
